Harlem Valley in New York is still about 40% occupied by the Dept. of Corrections as a juvinile detention center and ascociated housing for guards and other personnel. Still, many of the old hospital's buildings lie cold and empty.

Its remote location and close proximity to guard housing has kept most vandals at bay, but this leaves a clean envirnment for UE'ers to explore. There are too many structures to experience each in a single day, and while they are connected via the obligatory tunnel system, they are at times impassable.

Also worth noting is that while many of the buildings are without power, some do have functioning motion detectors at the ends of certain hallways.
